The ZPI Leasing Department understands that the key to any property’s success is the creation of value through leasing. Combining backgrounds in brokerages, property management, construction, and law has created a leasing team with hands-on knowledge, strong communication skills, and a focus on details. Whenever ZPI buys a property, it hires brokerage firms in each city that are experts in the local market. These firms offer familiarity with current tenants and provide strong relationships with potential local, regional, and national tenants. The leasing team works closely with these brokerage firms to enhance the tenant mix, thus generating greater traffic for our shopping centers, greater efficiency in our flex and industrial properties, and greater synergy within our office buildings. Our leasing team has been able to increase occupancy while maintaining strong tenant relations. They rely on strong relationships throughout the real estate industry, efficient leasing procedures, practical lease-negotiation skills, in-house document preparation, and experienced lease administration. The ZPI leasing team attends all major International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) conventions where properties are marketed. ZPI also works closely with the Carolinas Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR). Recently ZPI has also become involved with the Institute of Real Estate Managers (IREM).
