Aaron Rents opened today in the Cedar Springs Shopping Center on Southport Road, just in time for Christmas shopping.  The-rent-to-own store occupies 8,640 square feet adjacent to Big Lots.   Aarons carries a full line of electronics, furniture, computers and electronics.  In addition to Big Lots, Aarons joins Food Lion, Family Dollar, Cosenza’s Pizza, Cedar Springs Style and Tan and the soon to be completed Storesmart Climate Controlled Storage in the center.  Cedar Springs Shopping Center is operated by Ziff Properties, Inc. of Charleston, SC.  Aaron Rents was represented in the transaction by Kathy McCarthy of Atlas Realty of Charlotte, NC.  Robbie Romeiser of Spencer Hines from Spartanburg represented the Landlord.  Aarons operates over 1600 stores in North America and is aggressively expanding to meet the needs of consumers that, due to the economy and credit crunch, are more and more frequently taking advantage of the opportunities that rent to own plans offer.
